COVID-19: 87 travelers among 1013 more fresh cases; J&K tally mounts to 44,570

Cases include 413 from Kashmir division, 600 from Jammu division

Srinagar, Sep 07 (KNO): Jammu and Kashmir on Monday recorded 1,013 cases of Covid-19 pandemic including 87 travelers taking the total number of positive cases to 44,570 in the Union Territory. Of the total 44,570 cases, 32,152 are from Kashmir and 12,418 from Jammu division. Officials told news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), among 1,013 new cases, 413 belong to Kashmir division while as 600 are from Jammu division, adding that the total number of positive cases in Kashmir division have reached to 32,152 including 25,520 recoveries while as total number of positive cases in Jammu division have reached to 12,418 including 7,240 recoveries and 105 deaths. The officials said that total number of active cases in Jammu and Kashmir are 11,009 including 5,936 from Kashmir division and 5,073 from Jammu division. With 433 more recoveries, the tally of total recoveries in Jammu and Kashmir has reached to 32,760 which is 73.50 percent of the total cases. "Cases tested positive in J&K include 136 from Srinagar, 31 from Baramulla, 40 from Pulwama, 56 from Budgam, 40 from Anantnag, 31 from Bandipora, 38 from Kupwara, 03 from Kulgam, 10 from Shopian and 28 from Ganderbal in Kashmir division while as 600 from Jammu division include 442 from Jammu, 12 from Rajouri, 21 from Kuthua, 32 from Udhampur, 22 from Samba, 01 from Ramban, 13 from Doda, 41 from Poonch, 15 from Reasi and 01 from Kishtiwar," officials disclosed. As per officials figures, 10,300 positive cases including 240 deaths and 8,660 recoveries are from Srinagar, 3,079 including 106 deaths and 2,369 recoveries are from Baramulla, 2,896 including 2,328 recoveries and 59 deaths are from Pulwama, 2,923 including 2,102 recoveries and 66 deaths are from Budgam, 2,600 including 52 deaths and 1,985 recoveries are from Anantnag, 2,395 including 1,667 recoveries and 26 deaths are from Bandipora, 2,421 cases including 1,641 and 54 deaths are from Kupwara, 2,000 including 1,835 recoveries and 39 deaths are from Kulgam, 1,756 including 1,613 recoveries and 29 deaths are from Shopian and 1,782 including 1,320 recoveries and 25 deaths are from Ganderbal. In Jammu division, 5,795 including 2,342 recoveries and 67 deaths are from Jammu district, 1,043 including 822 recoveries and 07 deaths are from Rajouri, 1,091 including 774 recoveries and 10 deaths are from Kuthua, 1,030 including 748 recoveries and 04 deaths are from Udhampur, 850 including 597 recoveries and 04 deaths are from Samba, 703 including 651 recoveries and 01 death are from Ramban, 542 including 377 recoveries and 06 deaths are from Doda, 547 including 376 recoveries and 05 deaths are from Poonch, 462 including 345 recoveries are from Reasi and 355 including 208 recoveries and 01 death are from Kishtwar. As per the daily information bulletin, 482,771 persons in Jammu and Kashmir are under observation while 40,114 persons have been kept under home quarantine besides that 11,009 persons are in isolation. According to the bulletin, 381,727 persons have completed surveillance period and 49,120 persons are under home surveillance besides that so far results of 1,088,652 samples are available. Out of 1,088,652 the number of samples tested negative stands at 1,044,082 while 44,570 have tested positive, among them 11,009 are active and 32,760 persons have recovered—(KNO)
